I know what you mean about having your wife support you on this. Even if it's subtle, it really means a great deal when the person you love can share this with you!

Great story! I TOTALLY agree and I like to add a couple of words to the old saying you mentioned, "You only go around once, Do it in Style!".

Ken, thanks for sharing this wine at Phil's. Really good! Dry, full body with a great finish. A keeper.
In fact you should visit the free wine rating service I mentioned.
Nirvino at www.nirvino.com.
If you search on Sattui 2006, you will find that they rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I use this right on my iPhone anywhere.
Thanks again!

Go for the C6. I had some doubts about buying one since it would be my first new one, but after I drove one I bought it and never regretted it. I figure it this way, you only live once and since I was retired I wanted to enjoy myself in retirement and I have.

I had a friend he had alot of nice things a Jag, Mercedes, boat, a good job but couldn't enjoy them because he was always out of town on business. One time when he was out of town on business he never made it home alive. A hotel housekeeper found hime dead in his room, he was 49. After that I changed my outlook on life as I was a few years older then he was and decided not to take things for granted. I'm on my third Vette in seven years. Go for the C6 you won't regret it.

Fun car. I'm on my fourth Vette (first new one). After I bought my 1997 I thought it would be the last Vette I would ever buy, as it was faster and handle alot better then my 1986 and got better gas milage. Boy was I wrong. After I saw the new 2005 at Classic I had to get one. It was in March of 2005 and the car was in the showroom. They took it out of the showroom for me to test drive and the rest is history.

Three weeks after I bought it I drove it to Florida. I got alot of looks from people as there weren't too many new ones on the road yet. The seats and the ride were so comfortable , I drove it 19 hours straight through to Lake Wales. Stopping for gas a few times, at times going a 100mph to keep up with the flow traffic. Good to have a CB and radar detector with me.

In Lake Wales I thought I was some kind of celebrity with people coming up to me. Went to a restaurant one afternoon and the chef came up to me and said he saw my car the previous night and that he really liked it.

Took a drive to Daytona Beach, met a high school friend for lunch, he had a 1981 black Vette, and then drove the car on the beach with the top off. I always wanted to do that with a Vette. It should have been thirty years ago as it was near the end of spring break. Again the looks and comments I was getting as the only C6 there. I never saw another 2005 on my week long trip. Would like to take a trip to California in the future, if the gas prices ever comedown. It is a fun car to drive. This will be the last Vette I will buy, then again I said that once before.
