| Low Speed Rally Lakeland 08/27/2011 |
Another excellent two day rally at Lakeland's Parking Lot sponsored by the Tiretown Corvette Club.

This race was a bit more difficult than the previous rallies with many tight turns. On the first day it seemed like the course controlled the speed and the driver. On the second day with a few less cones, the speeds were faster and only limited by the driver's ability to control the car, ESPECIALLY at the very tight finish!
Once again, being the newbie, I was challenged by one of the female drivers, Donna Huddle! She threw down the gauntlet and pushed me from being 2 seconds slower than her to an exhilarating finish that gave me a .001 second advantage!! I want to sincerely thank her for the rush that many of you seasoned racers have felt so many times!
And as always, our thanks for all that helped, raced, and simply enjoyed!
